Website Accessibility Support
The San Gabriel Unified School District provides access to education, employment, services, programs, and activities to persons with disabilities. The San Gabriel community works together to eliminate any obstacles that prevent equal opportunities for community members who have physical or mental disabilities. We are committed to designing products and services to comply with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
About Section 504 and Title II
Section 504 protects qualified individuals with disabilities from discrimination in programs and activities that receive federal funding. Specifically, Section 504 prohibits school districts from excluding individuals with disabilities from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity. Title II extends this prohibition on discrimination established by Section 504 to all activities of state and local governments regardless of whether these entities received federal financial assistance.
