San Gabriel Unified School District Governing Board Appoints Interim Superintendent

The San Gabriel Unified School District Governing Board appointed Mr. Ross Perry to serve as Interim Superintendent at its June 23, 2026, Board meeting, effective immediately.

Mr. Perry currently serves as the District's Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. His appointment will ensure continuity of leadership and district operations while Superintendent Mr. Jim Symonds is on medical leave through November 30, 2026.

The Governing Board is confident that Mr. Perry's knowledge of the District, collaborative leadership, and dedication to educational excellence will provide stability and continued progress during this interim period.

San Gabriel USD remains focused on supporting our students, families, community and staff, and on maintaining the high level of service our community deserves and expects.
