Award recipients are recognized for offering multiple arts disciplines, such as music, visual arts, theatre, dance, and media arts, while ensuring equitable opportunities for diverse student populations.
State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond praised this year’s honorees for creating dynamic learning environments where students can explore creativity, build confidence, and develop their voices through the arts.
Gabrielino High School and Jefferson Middle School will be recognized at the California School Recognition Program Ceremony in Anaheim in April 2026.
