Black History Month Community Celebration
Saturday, February 28, 2026
11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Jefferson Middle School (1372 E. Las Tunas Drive)
This is a joyful, district-wide celebration for all families, honoring Black culture, artists, and history through student performances, visual art, food vendors, activities, and community connection.
What to Expect
- Student performances from elementary, middle, and high school students across the district, including:
- Speech & Debate
- Drama
- Choir and Glee Club performances
- Honors Band and instrumental pieces
- Cheer and drum ensembles
- And more!
(Performances take place from 12:00–1:00 PM) - Visual art installations and displays, including student art panels, school projects, and creative showcases developed throughout the month of February
- Food vendors and activity booths open throughout the event
This celebration is open to all SGUSD students, families, and staff (TK–12). Families are welcome to stop by for the full event or come during any portion of the afternoon.
