Free meals for all students this coming school year!
The United States Department of Agriculture has extended pandemic flexibilities providing free school meals to all students at all schools through the 2021-2022 school year.
- No free/reduced meal application is necessary to receive free breakfast and lunch.
- All students at all San Gabriel schools are automatically eligible to receive a free breakfast and lunch.
Help make sure your school, and your student, get the resources they need!
San Gabriel Unified will continue to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students for the current 2021-22 school year. Families will not be required to submit a federal meal application to participate. Instead, all families are requested to complete an Income Survey Form to assist the District to maximize LCFF funding for 2021-22.
A portion of every school district's funding and other resources are determined by certain characterization of its students, one of which is need. To help demonstrate that need, all families in San Gabriel Unified are requested to complete the Income Survey Form in Aeries, the district student information system.
Families need to update annual information including emergency contacts via the Aeries Portal before the start of each school year. As part of this process, parents/guardians will also be asked to complete the Income Survey Form this school year.
By completing the form, you will help our schools reach the goal of maximizing funding to support our students’ academic achievement, and creating equitable learning environments.

¡Todos los estudiantes tendrán comidas gratis el próximo año escolar!
El Departamento de Agricultura de los Estados Unidos ha ampliado la flexibilidad durante la pandemia proporcionando comidas escolares gratuitas a todos los estudiantes en todas las escuelas para el próximo año escolar 2021-2022.
- No es necesario hacer la solicitud para recibir el desayuno y el almuerzo gratis o a precio reducido.
- Todos los estudiantes de todas las escuelas de San Gabriel automáticamente recibirán desayuno y almuerzo gratis.

El Distrito Escolar Unificado de San Gabriel continuará brindando desayuno y almuerzo gratis a todos los estudiantes durante el año escolar 2021-22. No se requerirá que las familias presenten una solicitud federal de comidas para participar. Sin embargo, pedimos a todas las familias que completen el formulario sobre la encuesta de ingresos familiares (Income Survey Form), para ayudar al distrito durante el 2021-22 a maximizar los fondos de control local (LCFF, por sus siglas en inglés).
Una parte de los fondos y otros recursos de cada distrito escolar está determinada por cierta clasificación de sus estudiantes, como por ejemplo las necesidades familiares. Para ayudar a demostrar esa necesidad, se pide a todas las familias del Distrito Escolar Unificado de San Gabriel que completen el formulario sobre la encuesta de ingresos familiares (Income Survey Form) en Aeries, el sistema de información estudiantil del distrito.
Como cada año y antes del inicio del año escolar, las familias deben actualizar la información familiar y los contactos de emergencia a través del Portal de Padres Aeries. Asimismo, como parte de este proceso, se pide a los padres/tutores que completen el formulario sobre la encuesta de ingresos familiares (Income Survey Form) para el año escolar 2021-22.
El completar este formulario, permitirá ayudar a nuestras escuelas a conseguir el objetivo de maximizar los fondos para apoyar el rendimiento académico de nuestros estudiantes y crear entornos de aprendizaje equitativos.
