Strategic Plan for 2023-2028

 

The SGUSD Strategic Plan articulates the District’s Mission and Vision, as well as the goals and objectives needed to bring it to life. The SGUSD Strategic Plan is more than just a document—it represents a continued support and commitment to all TK-12 students. The plan ensures that all students are provided equitable opportunities to learn in an environment where they are nurtured and supported to succeed at high levels throughout their TK-12 #SanGabrielExperience and beyond.

 

Bringing a plan like this to life requires teamwork from our community and educational partners.  This work was driven by the SGUSD Educational Advisory Committee (EAC), which consisted of teachers, parents, administrators, classified and certificated staff, community leaders, business partners, and most importantly, students. The journey began in 2020 when, with the help of the EAC, the District launched our Portrait of a Graduate. Students led the way in the development of the SGUSD Portrait of a Graduate, working in partnership with committee members to share their ideas, identify needs, and brainstorm ways to bring the new shared vision to life. The SGUSD Portrait of a Graduate consists of six core competencies that we strive to nurture in all of the SGUSD students, grades TK-12:
