Good afternoon San Gabriel Unified Parents and Community,
Things continue to move rapidly with the coronavirus, and we have another significant development today. At the recommendation of the Los Angeles County Office of Education, we will be closing all schools from March 16th through March 27th starting next week. We will remain open for the rest of today, Friday.
Spring Break will continue as scheduled for the week of March 30th through April 3rd. We don’t have all the answers as of this moment, but to give you ample time to prepare for you and your families, we wanted to get you this information as soon as possible and before many of you leave work today.
The health and safety of our students and staff continue to be a priority. We are very appreciative of all of you and your willingness to cooperate with us through this very fluid situation. We will follow up as soon as possible with more details and will continue our open communications with you.
We encourage you to view our webpage regularly at www.sgusd.net for updated information. We will continue to update you as more information becomes available. Thank you and we all get through this together as a school community.

Buenas tardes familias de San Gabriel,
Los acontecimientos del coronavirus continúan avanzando con rapidez, lo cual nos lleva a la noticia del día de hoy. La oficina de educación del condado de Los Ángeles mencionó que todas las escuelas estarán cerradas del 16 de marzo hasta el 27 de marzo empezando la próxima semana. Hoy viernes permaneceremos abiertos.
Las vacaciones de primavera “Spring Break” seguirán en pie, que se darán a cabo en la semana del 20 de marzo hasta el 3 de abril. Por el momento, no tenemos las respuestas a todas sus preguntas, pero les daremos suficiente tiempo para que usted y su familia se preparen, les queremos dar la información lo más pronto posible y antes de que salgan de trabajar el día de hoy.
