SB 359 - California Math Placement Policy for Grades 6-9 Students

The purpose of the policy is to create a fair, objective, and transparent protocol that serves pupils who are transitioning between elementary and middle school and middle school and high school. Beginning in the 2016-17 school year, the District will implement the requirements of the California Mathematics Placement Act of 2015 to accurately evaluate and place students in appropriate mathematics courses. The Policy is outlined below.

Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Governing Board of the San Gabriel Unified School District, will hold a public hearing on facility joint use with the City of San Gabriel, prior to final adoption as required by education code section 42103 and 52062. The public hearing will be held at 408 Junipero Serra Dr., San Gabriel, CA 91776 on January 17, 2017 at 7:00 PM. The public is cordially invited to attend this meeting.
